Snowmobile FAQ
01How much do snowmobiles cost in Zakopane?
A snowmobile trip costs from 300 PLN for an hour and from 600 PLN for two hours. The price is per snowmobile — a second rider on the same snowmobile is an extra 50 PLN for an hour and 100 PLN for two hours. The price covers a snowmobile, a helmet and gloves, a balaclava, a briefing before you set off, fuel and sausages and hot tea after the ride.
02What is included in the snowmobile price?
The snowmobile price covers a snowmobile, a helmet and gloves, a balaclava, a briefing before you set off, fuel and sausages and hot tea after the ride. An instructor rides with you on every trip, looks after your safety and matches the route to your skills, and you stop at two viewpoints for photos along the way. You start with a briefing of about 10 minutes and set off straight away.
03How long is the snowmobile route?
A one-hour snowmobile trip covers a route of about 20 km, a two-hour trip about 40 km. We stop at two viewpoints for photos along the way, and the instructor matches the route to the riders' skills.
04Is the hour time on the route, or does it include the briefing?
A one-hour tour means 55 minutes of riding. The briefing takes about 10 minutes, happens before you set off and is not counted in your riding time.
05When should I arrive for a snowmobile trip, and is there parking?
Arrive 30 minutes before your snowmobile trip — that leaves time for the briefing, signing the agreement and getting dressed. We set off from our base at Rybkówka 16/2 in Zakopane. There is free parking and a toilet on site, and a highland inn 100 m from the rental. After every trip we serve sausages and hot tea, free of charge.
06Do I need a licence for a snowmobile?
No, you do not need a driving licence for our snowmobile trips. You ride with an instructor on our routes, after a briefing of about 10 minutes on how to handle the snowmobile.
07When does the snowmobile season start?
Snowmobile season usually runs from November to February and depends on snow. Call +48 539 320 700 and we will tell you the current conditions.
08What should I bring for a snowmobile tour?
Bring warm clothes and a good mood. We provide the helmet, gloves and balaclava — they are included in the price.
09Do I have to pay in advance? Is there a booking deposit?
No, there is no deposit — you pay on site, by card or in cash. Booking online requires no advance payment.
10What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
You can change the date without any trouble — we are flexible. Just let us know and we will find a new day; we take no deposit, so you lose nothing.
11Do we ride in a group with strangers, or just us?
Usually you ride in a group with other guests — before the trip we split it into beginners and more experienced riders, so everyone feels safe and comfortable. A private trip with just your own guide can be arranged in advance, for a surcharge that depends on the date and the number of people.
12What if I damage the vehicle?
If you damage the vehicle, you pay for the damaged parts.
13Do your instructors speak English?
Yes, our instructors speak fluent English — the briefing and the whole trip can be in English.
14Is this legal?
Yes. We ride on our own off-road arena with 30 km of trails, always with an instructor and after a short briefing. Legal routes are one of the reasons we have been operating in Zakopane longer than any other company of this kind.
15Where exactly are you located?
We are at Rybkówka 16/2 in Zakopane, close to the town center. Guests come to us from Białka Tatrzańska, Bukowina Tatrzańska, Poronin, Kościelisko and Murzasichle.
